A local bank in New Hampton is quietly searching for an Ag Lender to build and manage farm lending relationships across Chickasaw County and northeast Iowa. The position handles business development, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing.
Responsibilities:
- Bring in new farm and agribusiness borrowers through community connections
- Analyze balance sheets and project repayment capacity
- Put together operating, equipment, and land loan packages
- Handle field inspections, annual credit reviews, and renewals
- Introduce customers to deposit and treasury services
- Work with FSA programs to support qualifying borrowers
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Ag lending or Ag credit analysis experience
- Bachelor's in Ag Business, Ag Economics, or Finance preferred
- Solid understanding of farm finance
- Clear communicator who earns customer trust
- Able to manage a loan portfolio independently
