A local bank in Primghar is quietly looking for an Ag Lender to build and manage farm lending relationships across O'Brien County and northwest Iowa. The position handles business development, underwriting, structuring, closing, and servicing.
Responsibilities:
- Bring in new farm and agribusiness borrowers through local connections
- Analyze financial statements and project repayment capacity
- Put together operating, machinery, and land loan packages
- Handle field inspections, annual credit reviews, and renewals
- Introduce customers to deposit and treasury products
- Work with FSA programs to support qualifying borrowers
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Ag lending or Ag credit analysis experience
- Bachelor's in Ag Business, Ag Economics, or Finance preferred
- Solid grasp of farm finance
- Clear communicator who builds customer trust
- Able to manage a loan portfolio independently
