Accounts Receivable Specialist – Construction

A construction firm is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to support customer billing, payment tracking, and collections. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys keeping accounts accurate and working with project teams.

Suggested Responsibilities*

• Prepare and submit customer invoices and construction billings.
• Record payments and reconcile customer accounts.
• Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Resolve billing discrepancies with customers and project managers.
• Track retainage and maintain supporting billing documentation.
• Assist with month-end reporting and account reconciliation.

Suggested Qualifications*

• Accounts receivable or related accounting experience.
• Construction industry experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and accounting software.
• Professional communication and follow-through.
• Familiarity with progress billing, lien waivers, and retainage is a plus.
