Original job description
The Website Manager serves as the marketing owner of DAP.com and other owned brand websites, managing and continuously improving them as high-performing brand, product-discovery, and audience experiences. The position owns website priorities, content and publishing, audience journeys, performance, localization, and the marketing experience delivered through the content management system. Using audience needs, commercialization priorities, and performance insights, the Website Manager improves how homeowners, professionals, and other audiences discover information, evaluate products and solutions, and progress toward meaningful action. The role leads and coordinates website work across Brand Marketing, Search, Marketing Technology, PIM/DAM, IT, Customer Service, and external partners, maintaining accountability for website outcomes and issue follow-through while partnering with specialized functions for areas of expertise.
Responsibilities
Website Management & Prioritization
- Manage the ongoing priorities, request intake, backlog, work plan, and continuous improvement of DAP.com and other assigned brand websites. Translate business, brand, audience, commercialization, and product-launch needs into an actionable website roadmap. Balance planned enhancements with ongoing publishing and operational requirements, establish clear sequencing and dependencies, and maintain ownership of website initiatives through completion.
Web Content, Publishing & Audience Experience
- Manage and continuously improve website content and audience journeys. Develop and activate web content in partnership with Brand Marketing and subject-matter experts; publish, review, test, and maintain content through the CMS; and ensure website experiences are accurate, useful, current, accessible, and brand-aligned. Manage applicable translation and localization workflows and maintain localized websites according to the same content, quality, governance, accessibility, and performance standards applied to English-language sites. Partner with Brand Marketing and PIM/DAM specialists to translate approved product positioning, claims, attributes, and digital assets into complete, accurate, and audience-relevant website experiences that support established product-content workflows.
Website Operations, CMS & Issue Resolution
- Own the CMS-supported website experience from a marketing perspective, including functionality, navigation, content implementation, quality assurance, and ongoing operational needs. Partner with internal and external stakeholders on technical implementation, enhancements, releases, and troubleshooting. Identify, document, prioritize, test, and drive website issues through resolution, maintaining web-side accountability for validation and stakeholder communication. Manage website requirements associated with customer-service experiences, product ratings and reviews, product-availability or where-to-buy functionality, accessibility solutions, and other website services.
Web Performance & Optimization
- Monitor, analyze, and report website and user-experience performance using applicable web analytics, user feedback, and other available signals. Establish and track website KPIs aligned with audience and business objectives, identify performance gaps, and translate findings into prioritized improvements to content, journeys, navigation, features, and the overall website experience. Document the rationale for material recommendations and evaluate results after implementation. Partner with Search on search-specific optimization and with Marketing Technology on measurement standards, tagging, data quality, and cross-channel requirements. Coordinate testing and validation of material website improvements where appropriate.
Web Projects, Agencies & Vendor Management
- Lead web-specific projects through cross-functional collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. Translate agreed priorities into clear requirements, deliverables, timelines, roles, and dependencies, and maintain accountability for progress, stakeholder communication, and implementation follow-through. Manage day-to-day web agency and vendor relationships, monitor performance against agreed deliverables, and administer applicable invoices and budget tracking within the broader marketing budget.
Web Governance, Accessibility & Functional Coordination
- Maintain website governance, documentation, quality standards, publishing processes, decision rights, and clear escalation paths. Lead website accessibility planning and ongoing improvement in partnership with Legal, applicable corporate resources, agencies, and technical partners. Maintain website-side accountability for implementing established privacy and compliance requirements. Coordinate requirements involving product information, digital assets, customer-service experiences, integrations, and related capabilities with the functions that own the underlying policies, expertise, or systems.
Requirements

- Experience leading cross-functional website projects
- Strong web writing, editing, and content-optimization skills, with the ability to translate product, brand, and subject-matter information into clear, useful, audience-focused digital content.

- Ability to troubleshoot website issues from a business and user perspective and drive them through resolution
- Strong project management, organizational, prioritization, communication, attention to detail, and follow-through skills
- Ability to manage multiple website initiatives and stakeholders simultaneously
