COBOL CICS Engineer needs 6+ years experience
COBOL CICS Engineer requires:
- COBOL, CICS, VSAM, MQ, JCL,
- Knowledge of SQL Server, Java
COBOL CICS Engineer duties:
- Develop from scratch CICS programs that can facilitate read/write to both VSAM and MQ in the same program
- Write CICS programs that can orchestrate the execution of both legacy and new CICS transactions in the same unit of work
- Analyze and decompose complex CICS software systems and collaborate with and influence others to improve the overall design
- Serve as the SME in CICS Development and Support
- Troubleshoot and fix financial software problems as they occur
- Make recommendations to Production Support, Development, and IT Management to streamline infrastructure and application performance to improve the overall customer experience
- Act as a key advisor to Technical Leads, Senior IT team members on Infrastructure and Architecture projects
- Guide and participate in training other members of the team
