Trainer/Direct Support Professional

Description We are currently seeking a Trainer/Direct Support Professional to join our team. As a Trainer/DSP, you will work closely with adults with developmental disabilities to help them achieve their goals and live their lives to the fullest.

This position is community based, which means you will be supervising a group of program participants out in the community. You will be responsible for creating a monthly calendar, morning pick-ups, afternoon drop-offs, recording mileage and vehicle inspections, end of day journaling to document each participants day and progress etc.

Requirements

Must be available to work the following days/times:

Monday: 8:00AM -4:00PM; Tuesday: 8:00 AM - 4:00PM; Wednesday: 8:00AM - 4:00PM; Thursday: 8:00AM - 4:00PM; Friday: 8:00AM - 4:00PM

• Must be able to use applications on a Smart Phone for timekeeping and documenting purposes
• Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs
• Must be able to speak and understand basic English
• Successful completion of background screening with Department of Justice
• Successful completion of physical and TB test
• Must have valid Driver's License with 5 years of driving experience and acceptable driving record
• Must be patient and understanding
• Experience working with the developmentally disabled population (preferred)
