Original job description

GeoStabilization International (GSI), Access Limited, and RoadGuard together form a leading infrastructure solutions platform dedicated to protecting people and strengthening critical infrastructure across North America and New Zealand.

GSI is the premier geohazard mitigation firm specializing in emergency slope stabilization, landslide repair, grouting, and micropiles through innovative design-build delivery. Access Limited brings over a century of steep-slope expertise and operates North America’s largest fleet of spider excavators, delivering complex rockfall and geotechnical solutions in the most challenging environments. RoadGuard, founded in 2024, unites industry-leading roadway safety companies providing guardrail, bridge railing, highway signage, fencing, and specialty fabrication services.

Across all our businesses, we are driven by innovation, extreme ownership, technical excellence, and a relentless commitment to measurable results that improve safety and infrastructure resilience.

Note: GSI is not able to offer visa sponsorship of any kind at present. You must be a US citizen or have a valid green card to be considered for this role.

About the Role

Our IT team is expanding to cover the growth of our operational teams. Our Applications team is seeking a Systems Administrator for our core technologies - Vista ERP and B2W. The new hire will help develop these systems, integrate them with new technologies being brought online in other parts of the business, and drive data reporting projects.

Core Responsibilities

Vista ERP Administration & Optimization

Manage, optimize, and troubleshoot Viewpoint Vista ERP across all critical modules (JC, AP, AR, PR, GL). Build sophisticated SQL queries and stored procedures to reconcile accounts, enforce job-costing integrity, and surface insights for finance and operations leaders. Your role is to ensure Vista operates as the source of truth for construction accounting and project profitability.

Estimating & Scheduling Integration

Own configuration and troubleshooting of B2W Operations, with deep expertise in data warehouse integrations and job-scheduling logic. Diagnose and resolve integration failures that impact bid-to-budget cycles. Ensure seamless data flow from pre-sales estimating through project delivery.

Reporting & Data Architecture

Design, build, and maintain reporting across Crystal Reports, SSRS, and Power BI. Translate business questions into data models and dashboards that drive operational and strategic decisions. Take ownership of data quality, refresh cycles, and analytics architecture - not just report writing.

M&A Systems Integration

Lead technical integration of acquired companies' systems into GSI's Vista and B2W platforms. Own data migration strategy, mapping, and validation. Design chart-of-accounts and job-cost structure reconciliation. Execute parallel-run testing and historical data conversion with precision and ownership. This is high-stakes, outcome-critical work that directly impacts acquisition value realization.

Systems Integration & Technical Partnerships

Architect and support integrations between Vista, B2W, and third-party applications (payroll, accounting, project management platforms). Ensure data consistency, eliminate manual workarounds, and automate workflows that improve operational efficiency.

Key Competencies

Expert SQL Server proficiency: query writing, complex joins across Vista schema, basic performance tuning, and stored procedure development. Strong hands-on understanding of Vista architecture, data models, and configuration options.
Familiarity with construction workflows: job costing, accounts payable/receivable, payroll integration, estimating processes, and project delivery cycles. Ability to translate business requirements into system configuration - you think like both an engineer and a construction operator.
You tackle complex problems systematically, with a focus on outcomes. You diagnose root causes, don't just patch symptoms. You communicate technical issues in business terms and drive resolutions with urgency and precision.
You take accountability for system performance and uptime. You don't wait for permission to solve problems - you identify root causes and implement solutions. You communicate proactively and escalate appropriately without abdicating responsibility.
You thrive in a fast-moving environment. You learn new systems, methodologies, and frameworks quickly. You're comfortable with ambiguity and make decisions with incomplete information. You continuously upgrade your technical and business knowledge.

Nice to have

Experience with hands-on M&A or system-integration projects - you've led data migrations, reconciled legacy systems into modern platforms, managed parallel runs, and owned the success of those integrations.
Architectural thinking about data and reporting - you've designed medallion/data warehouse schemas, understood master data management, and built analytics solutions that scale with business complexity (not just crystal-report tinkering).
Track record with construction ERP systems beyond Vista - experience with Sage, CMiC, Foundation, or similar platforms demonstrates adaptability and depth in construction-specific workflows.
Demonstrated business partnership orientation - you've worked closely with operations, finance, and project leadership to solve business problems, not just IT problems.
Evidence of technical ownership and continuous improvement - you proactively identify system inefficiencies, design solutions, and drive implementation without waiting for direction.

Leadership & Growth Trajectory

GSI invests in people with runway to lead. If you demonstrate strategic thinking, ownership, and results orientation, you'll be developed for increasing responsibility. This role is a launch pad for leaders who can scale with the organization. US pay range for this role.

$87,000 - $110,000 USD
