Original job description
Job Description Summary Looking to bridge the gap between machine installation and full operational readiness on some of the most complex industrialization programs in a highly matrixed manufacturing environment? Through disciplined schedule integration, strong cross-functional influence, and advanced project execution capability, the Capacity Enablement Leader (CEL) will drive multiple industrialization and manufacturing readiness projects from startup through production ownership. The CEL leads the execution of multiple industrialization and manufacturing readiness projects within a highly matrixed organization. This role is critical in bridging machine installation through full operational readiness, coordinating schedules, resources, and interdependencies across technical and support teams. The role requires a hands-on, technically grounded project manager with strong schedule integration capability and advanced execution proficiency, capable of influencing across functions without direct authority.

What impact you will make:
As the CEL, you will have direct impact on the successful execution of business-critical programs, including line modifications for capacity increases and new line installations for expanded capabilities. You will serve as the central execution hub across CAPEX, CAD/CAM, Deployment, Development, Quality, and Fixture/Part Movement teams, integrating complex schedules into a single master project plan. Your leadership will help protect project milestones, provide real-time visibility into schedule health and risk, and drive a disciplined handoff from project execution to production ownership.
What you will do:
- Lead multiple concurrent industrialization projects, including line modifications for capacity increases and new line installations for expanded capabilities.
- Integrate multiple complex schedules (e.g., machine installation, tooling, programming, qualification) into a single master project plan.
- Identify and actively manage critical-path interdependencies across teams and workstreams.
- Provide real-time visibility to schedule health, constraints, and risks for leadership and stakeholders.
- Lead scheduling and coordination for machine startup, process development, programming, tooling, fixtures, and part qualification.
- Ensure alignment between engineering deliverables and manufacturing readiness.
- Drive disciplined handoff from project execution to production ownership.
- Act as the central execution "hub" across CAPEX, CAD/CAM, Deployment, Development, Quality, and Fixture/Part Movement teams.
- Coordinate daily across technical and support organizations with shared resources.
- Resolve priority and resource conflicts through influence and data-driven trade-offs.
- Identify resource bottlenecks and negotiate solutions to protect project milestones.
- Proactively adjust schedules based on supplier push/pull to minimize impact to startup dates.
- Facilitate regular project status and execution reviews.
- Provide clear, actionable updates to technical experts, manufacturing leaders, and stakeholders who will ultimately own the processes.
- Drive structured issue resolution and escalation as needed.
- Perform additional responsibilities aligned with business priorities and leadership needs.
What you will bring (Basic Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field (general technical degree acceptable).
- Minimum 5–10 years of project management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to manage complex interdependencies without direct budget or people authority.
- Strong communication, prioritization, and issue-escalation skills in a fast-paced, matrixed environment. Eligibility Requirements
- Must be able to work on-site in Parsippany, NJ and Allentown, PA and maintain regular presence with site and project teams. Additionally, travel to our Hungary facility is required as needed.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced shop-floor environment.
What will make you stand out:
- PMP certification preferred.
- Strong influential leadership skills in a matrixed organization.
- Highly organized, execution-focused, and data-driven approach to project management.
- Experience in Aerospace or Power Generation manufacturing environments preferred.
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced shop-floor environment.
