Make an Impact-Become a Substitute Teacher
Come join our Garfield Re-2 School District team as a Day to Day or Long-Term Substitute within our District!
Day to Day Substitutes serve as needed and have the opportunity to pick up different jobs daily at different schools. Long-Term Substitutes can be assigned to cover a short term assignment such as a maternity leave!
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND;
- Current active Substitute License (1 -5 year authorization), Teacher License, or Administrator License with the Colorado Department of Education Preferred
You must be willing to obtain or are pending Substitute Authorization License issued by the Colorado Department of Education before you are eligible to begin employment with Garfield School District Re-2. You will also be required to submit fingerprints for a background check through the CO Department of Education as part of the application process.

Non-Certified Teacher Rate: $138 per day: $69 per half day
Certified Teacher Rate: $185 per day: $92.50 per half day
