Full job description

Galvan Industries is seeking a CNC Laser Operator to join our Structural Division. In this role, you'll operate state-of-the-art laser equipment, produce precision-cut parts, and help deliver quality products to customers across a variety of industries.

What You'll Do

As a Laser Operator, you'll play a key role in our production process by:

• Operating automated CNC laser cutting equipment

• Monitoring machine performance to maximize efficiency and uptime

• Loading raw materials and ensuring continuous production

• Inspecting finished parts to verify quality and accuracy

• Reading blueprints and following detailed specifications

• Making machine adjustments to maintain quality standards

• Sorting, packaging, and preparing finished products for shipment

• Identifying and properly handling non-conforming material

• Completing production records and documentation

• Following all safety procedures and maintaining a clean work area

Requirements

What We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who enjoys hands-on work, pays attention to detail, and thrives in a manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating CNC production equipment, flat lasers, plasma, or oxy-fuel cutting tables
• Strong blueprint reading skills

• Understanding of tolerances, dimensions, and precision manufacturing

• Experience using measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, tape measures, and gauges

• Basic computer proficiency, including ERP systems,

• Nesting Background and Auto CAD experience

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the workday

Ability to lift and maneuver materials weighing up to 50 pounds
