Whether you're managing claims, supporting clients, or improving processes, you’ll play a vital role in helping businesses and individuals move forward with confidence. Here, you’ll be supported by a culture that values teamwork, encourages curiosity, and celebrates the impact of your work. Because when you’re here, you’re part of something bigger. You’re part of a team that shows up, stands together, and leads with purpose. Overview The Manager, Operational Transformation is a highly visible, process-driven role responsible for leading strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency, workflow effectiveness, service delivery, and business outcomes across Gallagher Bassett. Initially, this role will focus on medical bill routing and related operational processes, evaluating current-state workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and leading solutions through implementation. As initiatives are completed, the role will transition to new operational transformation priorities, allowing the position to evolve alongside the needs of the business. This is not a traditional people-management role today. Instead, the Manager will operate as a matrix leader, bringing together Operations, GCoE, Managed Care, technology, vendors, and other business partners to drive initiatives from assessment through execution. While there are currently no direct reports, the position has the potential to evolve into formal people leadership as the transformation function grows. How you'll make an impact Lead cross-functional operational transformation and process improvement initiatives from current-state assessment through implementation and stabilization. Initially lead transformation efforts associated with medical bill routing, including workflow evaluation, process gaps, handoffs, service delivery, and opportunities for greater efficiency. Identify root causes of operational challenges and develop scalable solutions that improve quality, consistency, turnaround time, and customer experience. Partner closely with Operations, GCoE, Managed Care, technology teams, vendors, and other stakeholders to execute business priorities. Serve as a matrix leader, establishing accountability and driving execution across teams that may not directly report into the role. Develop future-state workflows, implementation plans, operating procedures, reporting, and success measures for transformation initiatives. Monitor project outcomes and operational performance to ensure changes deliver sustainable business value. Lead stakeholder communication, including updates, recommendations, risks, and results for senior leadership. Transition between transformation projects as business priorities evolve, building a broader portfolio of operational improvement work over time. Support adoption and change management to ensure new processes are successfully embedded within Operations. Potentially assume direct people leadership responsibilities in the future as the scope and needs of the function evolve. About You Required: Bachelor's degree; 6 years related experience in claim reporting or workers compensation/managed care. Proficiency in computer applications, including risxfacs.com, Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access. Strong organizational skills-must be able to prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Behaviors: Ability to work under pressure with little to no supervision. Compensation and benefits At Gallagher, we believe supporting our colleagues goes far beyond the role itself.
