Opportunity to work with a leader in the Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS) space. Our APIs and SDKs are used by customers around the globe. The team is expanding to meet the growing demand in the CPaaS market and we’re looking for a strong backend developer to join the team. You’ll work on both new and existing voice services handling millions of calls a day to every country in the world.

Senior Software Engineer will work on services development, analyze first the needs of the user through scrum process. Then design, develop, test, and maintain under the supervision of the Team Lead. The senior role involves performing leadership roles.

Produce well designed and tested production quality code.

Participate in the development process: design, development, testing, and deployment.

Implementation of highly available and scalable 24/7 services.

Participate in design and code reviews to help increase the quality of our products.

Support existing systems while making enhancements towards future architecture.

Choose the best technology for the situation, sometimes it’s the boring one.

Interact with business units effectively regarding requirements and specifications.

Requirements

Strong hands on software engineering experience (at least 4 years) with Python.

4+ years of software development in a Linux environment

Understanding of development best practices and standards (design patterns, coding standards, etc.).

Good SQL and database design skills.

Knowledge of basic Linux system administration tasks.

A solid grounding in version control and experience working with a team using Git.

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Strong understanding of AGILE and SCRUM methodologies

Nice to have

Experience with REST API development.

Experience with high volume web services. Caching, distributed processing, replication and performance profiling.
