Computer Network Coordinator

Position: Computer Network Coordinator

Location: BOCES-wide

Description:

• Oversees a computer operations center in processing and storing a variety of district financial, statistical, personnel and student data including payroll, leave time, personnel reports, test scores, scheduling
• Establishes, coordinates and maintains schedules for the utilization of equipment in the computer center;
• Ensures that computers are operating correctly and efficiently and contacts repair personnel in the event of malfunction;
• Supervises, trains and provides technical assistance to employees engaged in the operation of computers, software programs and related peripheral equipment;
• Installs or makes arrangements for the installation of new computer hardware and software including individual computers;
• Works with district departments heads or members of executive staff to determine new applications to be brought online and resolve difficulties with existing applications
• Works with and instructs personnel within the school district to establish production procedures, priorities and controls to ensure adequate volume and accuracy in operations to meet needs of departmental activities
• Orders computer equipment and supplies for computer center; Prepares a variety of records and reports related to the work.

Qualifications: Civil Service status as a Computer Network Coordinator

Starting Date: ASAP

Salary: $75,000-$85,000
