Company Description The Church of The Apostles is an independent non-denominational church with Anglican roots located in Atlanta, GA. The church was founded in 1987 and has remained focused on reaching the lost and equipping the saints for the work of ministry. The Church of The Apostles is committed to making disciples inside our local church. We believe this happens by the persevering proclamation of the Word of God, by the people of God, in prayerful dependence on the Spirit of God.

Job Description

The Brand & Communications Manager is responsible for shaping and stewarding how The Church of The Apostles communicates its mission, vision, ministries, and message to both our congregation and the broader community. This role will establish the strategy, priorities, voice, and visual consistency for church-wide communications while coordinating the people responsible for executing that strategy. Serving as the central hub between pastors, ministry leaders, and the communications and media team, this person will help the church move from many ministries promoting independently to one unified, strategic voice. This person will work closely with pastors and church leadership at a time of significant growth and change, including a new brand, website, and messaging. Key responsibilities of the Brand & Communications Manager include but are not limited to: Strategy & Calendar

  • Develop and oversee the church’s overall brand, messaging, and communications strategy, ensuring a clear and consistent voice across every platform
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive communications calendar encompassing sermon series, ministry initiatives, events, website content, social media, e-blasts, marketing, promotions, and print
  • Collaborate with church leadership to create and manage the church-wide calendar and subsequent ministry planning, turning calendar decisions into actionable plans, with clear creative direction and realistic lead times
  • Provide strategy and direction for church-wide print and promotional materials, including community mailers, ministry guides, Easter and Christmas Eve publications, and other special campaigns

Sermon & Podcast Content

  • Develop and oversee the strategy for the Jonathan Youssef Podcast, including content planning, production coordination, promotion, and audience growth
  • Create an annual strategy for promoting and extending Jonathan Youssef’s sermon series beyond Sunday morning through social media, video, digital content, email, and other opportunities
  • Drive active participation and engagement across streaming, social media, small groups, and other digital or community platforms

Team & Ministry Partners

  • Manage and provide direction to the Communications Coordinator in the day-to-day execution of communications, promotions, and ministry requests
  • Collaborate directly with the Media Coordinator to develop video, testimony, graphic, and promotional content that supports the church’s messaging and ministry priorities
  • Coordinate weekly website updates and improvements, along with the design, production, and distribution of church-wide e-blasts
  • Coordinate freelance creatives to keep deliverables on strategy and on schedule
  • Partner with pastors and ministry leaders to help develop and coordinate their communications while ensuring individual ministry messaging remains consistent with the overall mission, vision, voice, and brand of The Church of The Apostles

Overall Purpose To ensure that everything The Church of The Apostles communicates feels intentional, consistent, current, and distinctly Apostles, creating a unified voice that serves our congregation, strengthens our ministries, reaches our congregation, fosters community, supports Jonathan’s teaching ministry, and ultimately helps more people encounter the Gospel.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience managing marketing, branding, and creative projects with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain a comprehensive communications calendar and manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proven track record of developing and executing multi-channel campaigns across digital, social, email, web, video, and print
  • A self-starter with energy and drive, who can read the room, galvanize a team, and turn conversations and ideas into action
