Position Summary Foresight is seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision plastic components according to engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate has experience with CNC machining, understands machining processes, and can produce accurate, high-quality parts while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. At Foresight, we manufacture high-purity plastic components and equipment used in the semiconductor and advanced manufacturing industries. Attention to detail, quality, and consistency are essential to this role.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines to manufacture precision plastic components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Select and install appropriate cutting tools, tooling, and machine fixtures.
• Load and unload plastic materials and finished components.
• Make machine adjustments and basic program edits as needed to maintain part accuracy.
• Monitor machining operations and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality and production standards are met.
• Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools.
• Identify and report machining issues, material defects, or quality concerns.
• Maintain production records and complete required documentation.
• Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
• Work closely with supervisors, engineers, and other team members to meet production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous experience operating CNC lathe machines.
• Experience machining plastic materials is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Knowledge of machining tools, tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining processes.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machining issues and make adjustments as needed.
• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written work instructions.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods during the work shift.
• Ability to lift and move materials and finished parts as required.
• Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and use required tools.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Work Environment

This position works in a manufacturing environment with CNC machining equipment and plastic materials. The employee must follow established safety procedures, maintain a clean work area, and comply with company quality standards.
