Lead Baker

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Produce bread and desserts according to the needs of customers.
2. Make and decorate different types of cakes.
3. Manage the display cases of bread.
4. Inventory control.
5. Make orders from our customers on time.
6. Place orders of raw materials on time.
7. Maintain the cleanliness of the bakery and meet the standards of the Health Department.
8. Provide excellent customer service.
9. Maintain good relations between employees and provide training and guidance to team members. 10.Establish staff schedules. 11.Maximize the production and reduce the product cost. 12.Establish work processes. 13.Maintain the quality standards set by the company. 14.Work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays. 15.When required perform all activities of a shift leader. 16.PERFORM ANY OTHER TASK ASSIGNED BY THE STORE MANAGER.

Knowledge, Abilities, Skills and Other Personal Characteristics:

1. Knowledge of Mexican bakery.
2. Inventory control capability.
3. Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of food safety and hygiene.
4. Production Planning.
5. Knowledge of the preparation of Mexican pastries.
6. Ability to control costs and reduce waste.
7. Ability to control inventory.
8. Ability to train staff.
9. Ability to sell and create new products. 10.Knowledge of bakery equipment maintenance. 11.Experience in staff supervision. 12.Ability to provide excellent customer service. 13.Ability to have an excellent product presentation. 14.Ability to manage costs effectively. 15.Knowledge of raw materials and ability to order.

Minimum Requirements:

1. 15 years experience in Mexican bakery.
2. Ability to read at the eighth grade level.
3. Knowledge of the preparation of bread and pastry (Mexico / US).
4. Manual skills.
5. Ability to control inventory.
6. Knowledge of bakery equipment maintenance.
7. Experience in staff supervision.
8. Understanding of the product presentation.
9. Knowledge of raw materials and ability to make orders. 10.Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Desirable Requirements:

1. Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish and English.
2. Graduation from high school or GED.

Physical Requirements:

1. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
2. Ability to stand for long periods of time.
3. Ability to flex, kneel, bend and stoop.
4. Ability to do repetitive movements.
