Engine Field Technician / Mechanic

Perform all levels of repair and preventative maintenance on engines as well as diagnose and troubleshoot problems, give recommendations for repairs and make all critical repairs and adjustment Perform required DOT inspections to ensure service truck is in proper, safe working order This role involves hands-on mechanical work in a shop environment. The employee must be able to perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation. These functions may include: Safely and repeatedly lifting components weighing up to 115 pounds without assistance Safely lifting, carrying, and lowering components weighing up to 65 pounds without assistance Frequent pushing, pulling, and carrying of heavy materials Climbing on and off equipment and working at varying heights Standing, bending, and working in physically demanding positions for extended periods Safely operating tools and equipment Expreince working in a field enviroment on compression engines Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to read and comprehend specifications, service and parts literature, technical bulletins, schematics, line diagrams and other related publications. Ability to drive and valid license required with ability to obtain CDL Experience with all makes and models of engine rebuilds (CAT and/or Waukesha) Ability to foster positive relationships internally and externally
