Company Overview

Docusign brings agreements to life. More than 1.8 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people's lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using the Docusign AI-native IAM platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).

What you'll do

The Runtime Change Platform (RCP) team within Cloud & Production Engineering (CPE) builds platforms that help Docusign engineering teams manage and release runtime changes safely and confidently. Our work supports progressive feature delivery through feature flags, experimentation, runtime configuration, and Change Insights, which help teams identify the likely causes of incidents quickly. As a summer intern, you will work with experienced engineers on a well-scoped project that improves the Runtime Change Platform and enhances the developer experience. You will receive mentorship, participate in design and code reviews, and learn how production-quality services are built and operated. This is an internship role for 4 months of duration. This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Manager, Software Engineering. Responsibility

  • Contribute to a backend service, component library, developer tool, or automation project using modern engineering practices
  • Collaborate with your mentor, teammates and PMs to understand requirements, evaluate design options, and break work into achievable milestones
  • Write readable, maintainable code and automated tests, including unit and integration tests where appropriate
  • Work with APIs, structured data, and service dependencies in a distributed-systems environment
  • Add or improve metrics, logs, dashboards, documentation, or runbooks that make systems easier to understand and operate
  • Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, demos, and other Agile team activities
  • Investigate bugs and development issues, explain your findings, and help implement durable fixes
  • Present your project results and lessons learned to the team at the end of the internship
