Belt Attendant - 1st shift

Job Summary: Responsible for assisting with flooring production operations by monitoring and handling materials moving along production belts. Inspects materials for defects, removes damaged or improperly processed products, and ensures materials move smoothly through the production process. Maintains a clean and organized work area, follows established safety procedures, and assists production team members as needed. Performs repetitive tasks while maintaining attention to detail, meeting production goals, and adhering to quality standards. Performs additional duties as assigned by the supervisor Essential Functions and Responsibilities: - Follow production schedule. - Visually inspect product as it is being produced - Load/unload conveyor belts. - Prepare product for shipping. Essential Functions: - Ability to maintain work area cleanliness and general housekeeping regarding compounding work areas. - Ability to read, write, and follow directions in regards to SOP's, WI's, Management instructions, and other job related instructions. - Basic communication skills required. - Ability to work in a team environment. - Ability to operate and maintain equipment in a safe manner at all times. - Ability to self-manage, prioritize, multi-task and work under deadlines. - Ability to perform manual tasks under varying temperatures conditions in usually an indoor manufacturing environment. - Ability to read weighscales. - Ability to perceive colors and shading. - Ability to use precise measuring equipment. - Ability to meet the physical demands of the position - Semi-moderate to moderate physical activity. - Including but not limited to sitting, standing, hand/arm manipulation, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, seeing, touching/feeling, hearing, and crouching. - Ability to lift up to 50lbs. Education, Experience, and Qualifications: - High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
