Job Description
About FIS
Are you curious, motivated, and forward-thinking? At FIS you’ll have the opportunity to work on some of the most challenging and relevant issues in financial services and technology. Our talented people empower us, and we believe in being part of a team that is open, collaborative, entrepreneurial, passionate and above all fun.
About the team
The Enterprise Data & AI Platform team provides the data-integration and platform capabilities that support Capital Markets products and client data services. The team operates and enhances Qlik Replicate and Snowflake-based data flows, supports production services across US and European clients, and partners with product, infrastructure and support teams to onboard new clients safely and reliably.
What you will be doing
You will lead the engineering and operational delivery of enterprise data integration solutions that move Capital Markets data into Snowflake. You will combine hands-on Qlik Replicate and Snowflake engineering with production ownership, client onboarding and modern data engineering practices to keep critical data services stable, secure, scalable and ready for business use.
- Lead day-to-day engineering and production support for Qlik Replicate and Snowflake data services supporting clients in the United States and Europe.
- Design, build and support scalable data pipelines using full-load, change-data-capture and ELT patterns to ingest, transform and deliver trusted data from SQL Server-based Capital Markets applications into Snowflake.
- Develop and optimize Snowflake solutions, including data loading, SQL transformations, warehouse performance, security controls and downstream data consumption patterns.
- Own technical delivery for new-client onboarding, including environment setup, replication configuration, data validation, testing, implementation and transition to support.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents, coordinate recovery, and apply data engineering practices for monitoring, data quality, reliability, security and production readiness.
- Plan platform upgrades and production changes, improve automation and runbooks, and partner with product, infrastructure, database, analytics and support teams to guide complex technical delivery.
What you bring
- Strong experience designing, building and supporting enterprise data integration solutions and production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Practical knowledge of Qlik Replicate and Qlik Enterprise Manager, including full-load, CDC, task configuration, troubleshooting and upgrades.
- Hands-on Snowflake experience with data loading, advanced SQL development, warehouse management, security concepts and performance optimization.
- Experience working with structured and semi-structured data, data modeling, data quality, metadata, orchestration, monitoring and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of cloud data architectures and experience supporting highly available, business-critical data platforms through disciplined change management and operational controls.
- Demonstrated technical leadership and clear communication skills, with the ability to coordinate onboarding, implementation and incident resolution across distributed teams.
Bonus if you have
- Snowflake certification or significant experience implementing Snowflake in a large enterprise environment.
- Experience integrating Qlik Replicate with Snowflake or comparable cloud data platforms.
- Experience with Python and modern data pipeline or orchestration frameworks.
- Familiarity with data lake, data warehouse and data mesh architecture patterns; Capital Markets or investment-management data experience is also valuable.
What we offer you
- A multifaceted job with a high degree of responsibility and a broad spectrum of opportunities.
- A variety of career development tools, resources and opportunities.
- The chance to work on some of the most challenging, relevant issues in financial services and technology.
- A work environment built on collaboration, flexibility and respect.
