Security Officer - Armed Escort

As an Armed Security Officer, you will provide armed escort security in a healthcare setting. This position focuses primarily on supervision, secure escorts, and maintaining a safe, controlled environment. You will be responsible for remaining alert, following established security procedures, and documenting important activity throughout your shift.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Provide armed security and escort services in a healthcare environment.
• Monitor and supervise during medical treatment and while in designated holding areas.
• Maintain security and situational awareness.
• Coordinate with law enforcement and medical personnel as needed.
• Respond to security concerns, incidents, and emergencies in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain weapon readiness and follow all firearm safety protocols.
• Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and required documentation.
• Follow post orders and maintain a professional appearance at all times.

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Must be able to obtain a Florida G License (Armed Security License)
• Must have 2 years of Armed Security Experience OR prior military, law enforcement, or corrections experience.
• Must be able to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED certification.
• Must pass a drug screening, driving record check, and background check.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must possess proficient English communication, reading, and writing skills.
• Must be comfortable working around inmates in a secure healthcare environment.
• Must meet all physical demands, including occasional lifting (up to 40 lbs.), bending, climbing, running, walking, and standing for extended periods as needed.
