Current Opportunity in Topeka / Shipshewana We are currently seeking a reliable part-time caregiver to provide in-home assistance to a client in the Topeka / Shipshewana area.

Shift: 8:30 AM–4:00 PM Weekly Hours: Approximately 20–25 hours

Consistent attendance and dependable scheduling are essential for this position. We are looking for someone who can provide reliable support during the scheduled shift and help ensure the client receives consistent, quality care.

Important requirement: Applicants must be comfortable working in a client's home where cats are present.

What You'll Do As a Part-Time Caregiver with Firefly Home Care, you'll help clients maintain their comfort, dignity, safety, and independence while receiving care in familiar surroundings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting clients with personal care and daily living activities.
• Providing companionship, conversation, and emotional support.
• Preparing meals and helping with light housekeeping.
• Promoting client safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.
• Following individualized care plans and established care instructions.
• Observing and communicating changes in a client's condition or care requirements.
• Completing required care notes and documentation accurately.
• Building positive relationships with clients and their families through respectful, compassionate, and professional care.

What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is patient, trustworthy, and genuinely interested in helping others maintain their independence and quality of life.

Requirements and preferred qualifications include:

• A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to caregiving.
• A professional, respectful, and positive attitude.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to successfully complete required background screenings.
• Availability to work the 8:30 AM–4:00 PM shift, with approximately 20–25 hours per week.
• Comfort working in a client's home where cats are present.
• Ability to follow care instructions, communicate effectively, and work responsibly.
• A genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others.

Previous caregiving experience is helpful but not required. We welcome applicants who are willing to learn, demonstrate reliability, and have a strong desire to care for others.
