SUBSTITUTE

Summary We are seeking a dedicated and flexible individual to serve as a SUBSTITUTE in our educational environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a positive learning atmosphere while ensuring that the curriculum is implemented effectively in the absence of the regular teacher. This role requires adaptability, strong communication skills, and a passion for fostering student engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lesson plans provided by the regular teacher, ensuring that educational objectives are met.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a respectful and productive learning environment.
• Facilitate student participation and engagement in classroom activities.
• Provide support to students as needed, addressing individual learning needs.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding classroom activities and student progress.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and report any issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a seamless transition for students.
• Uphold school policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.
• Attend training sessions and professional development opportunities as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a bachelor’s degree in education or a related field is preferred.
• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is a plus.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and teaching styles.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• A valid teaching certification or substitute teaching permit may be required, depending on local regulations.
