Original job description

Fidelity Technology Services LLC seeks a Project / Systems Engineer to support its Department of Defense and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs. The Project / Systems Engineer will own the technical and programmatic execution of complex, multi-discipline programs from award through fielding - including full-flight simulators, Joint Fires trainers, and Synthetic Training Environments. This role sits at the intersection of systems engineering, program management, and customer engagement, and requires someone equally comfortable authoring an ICD, leading a CDR, troubleshooting an integration issue on-site, and presenting status to a Government customer. The position includes OCONUS deployment to program sites as required by program schedule. Essential Functions 1. Serves as the technical lead on one or more assigned programs - owning the systems engineering baseline, managing requirements traceability, and ensuring all technical deliverables meet contractual and performance specifications. 2. Leads or supports design reviews and milestone events: SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, CVT, GAT, and OSAT - preparing technical briefings, chairing working groups, and resolving discrepancies with the Government customer. 3. Develops and maintains key program artifacts: Systems Requirements Specifications (SRS), Interface Control Documents (ICD), Software Development Plans (SDP), Test Plans, CDRLs, and configuration management documentation. 4. Supports FMS program execution - coordinating export/import compliance (ITAR/EAR, 22 CFR 126.6), interfacing with freight forwarders, managing in-country installation and acceptance, and supporting DSCA/SAO relationships where applicable. 5. Coordinates multi-discipline integration across software, hardware, visual systems, and Government-furnished equipment (GFE/GFP) - identifying interface risks early and driving resolution before they affect program milestones. 6. Supports OTA and prototype program execution - translating capability drop definitions and PI objectives into systems-level requirements, participating in Agile Release Train ceremonies, and maintaining bidirectional traceability between backlog items and contract deliverables. 7. Develops and maintains the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS); identifies dependencies, critical path risks, and resource conflicts; reports schedule performance and earned value status to the PM and customer. 8. Serves as the primary technical POC for Government counterparts (CO, COR, APM, test teams) - providing written and verbal status, coordinating site access, and managing discrepancy documentation through resolution. 9. Supports proposal and capture activities: authors or reviews SOW sections, prepares BOEs, develops staffing plans, and contributes to technical volumes for new FMS cases, OTA submissions, and competitive bids. 10. Deploys to customer sites and program locations as required - including OCONUS locations - to support installation, integration, test events, Government acceptance, and fielding milestones. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's Degree (4-year college or university) in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline 2. 5-10 years of experience in systems or project engineering on defense programs, with demonstrated ownership of technical deliverables from requirements through acceptance 3. Experience leading or supporting formal design reviews (PDR, CDR, TRR, GAT) and Government customer interactions at the working level 4. Strong technical writing skills - capable of producing clear, traceable SRS, ICD, test plans, and CDRL deliverables independently 5. Familiarity with IMS development and schedule performance reporting; working knowledge of earned value concepts (BCWS, BCWP, CPI/SPI) 6. Experience with configuration management, requirements traceability tools (DOORS, Jama, or similar), and document control in a DoD program envir nment 7. Demonstrated ability to coordinate across engineering disciplines (software, hardware, systems, test) and manage competing priorities under program schedule pressure 8. Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with peers, clients, and Government counterparts 9. Excellent organizational skills; ability to manage multiple concurrent deliverables with minimum supervision 10. U.S. citizenship required; active Secret clearance or eligibility to obtain preferred. Willingness to deploy OCONUS for program events Preferred ... For full info follow application link. Fidelity Technology Services LLC is an equal opportunity organization.
