Content Creator

The Content Creator develops engaging content that supports Fello’s marketing and fundraising efforts across social media and other communications channels. Working with the Digital and Visual Communications teams, this role creates photography, video, graphics, and written content that communicates Fello’s mission, people, and impact with a focus on short-form, platform-specific content. The Content Creator partners with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization to identify stories, develop recurring content series, and provide real-time event coverage. They also help people supported by Fello and employees share their own stories, experiences, and accomplishments. This role monitors and responds to comments and messages, maintains an organized library of content assets, and uses performance data and platform trends to shape future content.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a natural storyteller with excellent speaking, writing, and editing skills and the ability to distill messages into believable, actionable content. They can build trust quickly and develop collaborative relationships. They have strong project management skills and can plan, produce, and manage multiple creative projects on tight timelines in a fast-paced environment. They are proficient in Microsoft Office, WordPress, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and X). Knowledge of CRM databases is preferred.

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in English, communications, marketing, or a related field, and three years of experience leading strategy and creating social media brand content. A master’s degree is a plus.

This is a full-time position based in Linthicum. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday during Fello office hours, with occasional night and weekend hours based on the organization’s needs. This position is eligible for moderate telework and requires local travel, including the ability to travel to locations across Anne Arundel County and the Eastern Shore.
