Kitchen Aide

Family Development Services is seeking a Kitchen Aide to support food service operations in our Head Start program. This position assists with meal preparation, food service, sanitation, and maintaining a safe and healthy kitchen environment for children and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparing and serving nutritious USDA-approved meals and snacks.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations.
• Deliver meals to classrooms as needed.
• Wash dishes and maintain a clean, organized kitchen.
• Store food and supplies properly.
• Monitor food temperatures and maintain required records.
• Support inventory and kitchen supply management.
• Maintain awareness of children's food allergies and dietary needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Food Handler Certificate preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.
• Ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff from diverse backgrounds.
