Classroom Assistant

Family Development Services (FDS) is seeking caring and dependable individuals to serve as Classroom Assistants in Head Start preschool classrooms serving children ages 3-4.

Responsibilities include:

Supporting teachers in daily classroom activities

Maintaining active supervision and ensuring child safety

Assisting with meals, learning activities, and classroom routines

Building positive relationships with children and families

Supporting child development, school readiness, and positive behavior

Maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming learning environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• CDA or Early Childhood Education coursework preferred
• Ability to pass background checks and physical examination
• CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
