Location: Anywhere in Country

At EY, we’re all in to shape your future with confidence.

We’ll help you succeed in a globally connected powerhouse of diverse teams and take your career wherever you want it to go. Join EY and help to build a better working world.

About EY

At EY, our purpose is to shape the future. The insights and quality services we provide help build trust and confidence in the capital markets and economies around the world. We develop outstanding leaders who team to deliver on our commitments to stakeholders and help build a better working world for our people, clients, and communities.

We help clients modernize applications, create digital solutions, and improve business efficiency across evolving platforms and technology environments.

The opportunity

As a Manager in the Service Delivery Center, you will balance hands-on software engineering with project leadership and delivery accountability. You will guide multidisciplinary teams through design, development, testing, deployment, and production support while remaining close to the code and technical decisions. You will coordinate delivery across geographically distributed teams, mentor engineers, manage dependencies and risks, and maintain clear communication with client and engagement stakeholders.

Your key responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of software engineering work across planning, design, development, testing, release, and production support.
Remain hands-on with coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, technical proof-of-concepts, and resolution of complex engineering issues.
Guide solution design using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices, Angular or React, relational or NoSQL databases, and cloud-native patterns.
Plan and manage Agile delivery, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, estimation, daily coordination, demonstrations, retrospectives, release readiness, and dependency management.
Coordinate work across teams located in different geographic locations and time zones, ensuring clear ownership, timely decisions, and effective handoffs.
Mentor engineers through technical coaching, design reviews, code-quality feedback, career development conversations, and practical problem-solving support.
Partner with product owners, architects, quality engineering, DevOps, security, operations, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into achievable delivery plans.
Monitor scope, schedule, quality, risks, issues, and delivery metrics; communicate progress and escalate impediments with recommended actions.
Promote secure development, automated testing, CI/CD, observability, operational readiness, and continuous improvement across the engineering lifecycle.
Support event-driven and data-processing solutions using Apache Kafka, Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Flink, or comparable technologies when required.

To qualify for the role, you must have

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
A minimum of 6 years of technology software development experience, including responsibility for leading project teams or major delivery workstreams.
Current hands-on coding experience with Java and Spring Boot, including development of microservices and RESTful APIs.
Experience with at least one modern UI framework, preferably Angular or React, and the ability to guide full-stack engineering decisions.
Experience building, reviewing, testing, deploying, and supporting enterprise applications on a major cloud platform.
Practical experience with source control, build automation, CI/CD pipelines, container-based deployments, unit testing, integration testing, static code analysis, and code-quality gates.
Experience with Agile and Scrum delivery practices, including sprint planning, estimation, backlog management, release planning, and delivery tracking.
Experience leading and coordinating distributed teams across multiple geographic locations and working effectively with cross-functional stakeholders.
Demonstrated mentorship and coaching skills, including the ability to improve engineering practices and develop team capability.
Experience with asynchronous and event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka or an equivalent messaging and event-streaming platform.
Experience with logging, monitoring, alerting, and operational troubleshooting using Splunk or a comparable observability platform.
Working knowledge of Hadoop, Apache Spark, or Apache Flink for batch or real-time data-processing use cases.
Ability to manage delivery risks, production issues, competing priorities, and client communications in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Ideally, you’ll also have

Experience managing production support, incident response, root-cause analysis, service restoration, and prevention of recurring issues.
Experience with API management, serverless architectures, Kubernetes or other container orchestration platforms, and infrastructure automation.
Experience using AI-assisted development tools and applying responsible AI practices to engineering delivery.
Relevant cloud, Agile, architecture, or engineering certifications.

What we look for

We are looking for intellectually curious professionals who take ownership, communicate clearly, learn quickly, and work effectively in collaborative engineering teams. You should be committed to delivering secure, reliable, maintainable, and high-quality technology solutions.
