Stocker / Warehouse Associate

Job Description

Responsible for supporting warehouse and distribution operations by safely loading, unloading, moving, and staging building materials. Ensures inventory accuracy, maintains a clean and organized work environment, and follows all company safety standards. Operates material handling equipment such as forklifts and assists with receiving, stocking, and preparing materials for delivery and customer pickup. Demonstrates a strong commitment to safety, customer service, teamwork, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and secure building materials in accordance with company and DOT requirements.
• Verify shipment accuracy and ensure materials are properly staged for delivery or customer pickup.
• Move, organize, and protect inventory within the warehouse using proper material-handling techniques.
• Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist with monthly and annual physical inventory counts.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times.
• Use proper lifting techniques and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Support team members and provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and drivers.
• Perform additional warehouse and operational duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• General knowledge of building materials preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Frequently lift, carry, push, and pull building materials weighing up to 100 pounds using proper lifting procedures.
• Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment for extended periods.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.
• Work indoors and outdoors under varying conditions while maintaining safety standards.
