Skilled Forklift / Loader (Grave Shift)

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Forklift / Loader Operator to join a busy shipping and receiving team. This position is responsible for safely moving, loading, unloading, staging, and tracking products and materials while ensuring accuracy, product quality, and proper documentation.

This is a great long-term opportunity for an experienced forklift operator who takes pride in working safely, staying organized, and keeping shipping operations running efficiently.

Possible Schedule and Salary:

• Grave Shift: 8:00 PM--5:00 AM, Saturday--Wednesday
• Days Off: Thursday and Friday
• Starting Wage: $23.00--$24.44/hour

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Safely load and unload trucks using forklifts and other material-handling equipment
• Receive and verify incoming products, packaging, and materials
• Collect, stage, and prepare products and pallets for customer and internal shipments
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks safely and efficiently
• Verify item numbers, product types, quantities, and lot codes for accuracy
• Complete shipping, receiving, inventory, and material-tracking documentation
• Place materials and products in designated warehouse or storage locations
• Maintain accurate records in all required systems and formats
• Perform general housekeeping and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work in both warehouse and outdoor yard environments
• Assist in other positions or departments as needed
• Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Strong forklift operation and material-handling skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to shipment accuracy
• Strong understanding of warehouse and shipping/receiving operations
• Ability to safely operate equipment in both warehouse and outdoor yard environments
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Strong time-management and organizational abilities
• Ability to accurately complete inventory, shipping, and material-tracking paperwork
• Ability to follow safety procedures, work instructions, and company policies
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to identify and communicate product, inventory, or shipping discrepancies

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous forklift operating experience required
• Ability to frequently lift and transport materials weighing up to 100 lbs., with or without assistance
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physical work throughout the shift
• Ability to climb onto trucks and use stairs or ladders as required
• Willing and able to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
• Must have sufficient vision and communication ability to safely identify, move, and track materials
• Must be able to communicate, read, write, and understand English as required to safely perform job duties
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screening, and required physical testing
• Must be able to provide 2--3 recent professional references
