Shop Laborer

Express Employment Professionals is hiring a Shop Laborer for a local precast concrete manufacturer. This is a full-time, year-round opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys hands-on work and wants to be part of a hardworking team producing septic tanks, manholes, burial vaults, and other precast concrete products.

Pay: $20.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Job Responsibilities

• Set up and assemble concrete forms
• Strip and clean concrete forms after use
• Pour and finish concrete products
• Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
• Bend rebar and assist with building reinforcement cages
• Perform tack welding to assemble rebar cages for concrete forms
• Assist with material handling, shop maintenance, and production tasks
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment

Qualifications

• Rebar and welding experience preferred
• Previous precast concrete experience is a plus, but not required
• Ability to read a tape measure accurately
• Knowledge of basic math and measurements
• Experience using hand tools and power tools
• Forklift experience is beneficial (company certification provided)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good time management skills
• Team-oriented attitude and strong work ethic
• Reliable and willing to learn

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
• Comfortable performing heavy physical labor throughout the day
• Ability to lift materials independently, with a team, or with equipment assistance
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and work in a shop environment for extended periods
