Shipping & Receiving Coordinator - Baton Rouge Evaluation Hire | $18/hr Full-Time

Express Employment Professionals - Downtown Baton Rouge is seeking a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator for a local industrial company. This position offers a unique blend of administrative responsibilities and hands-on warehouse support. The ideal candidate will be comfortable tracking shipping and receiving data, performing data entry, and assisting with general warehouse operations when needed.

Core Responsibilities:

• Track and maintain shipping and receiving records
• Perform accurate data entry and inventory tracking
• Prepare and process shipping and receiving documentation
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments
• Assist with inventory management and reporting
• Support bookkeeping and recordkeeping functions
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently
• Assist with warehouse organization and material handling
• Communicate with vendors, drivers, and team members regarding shipments

Skills & Experience Required:

• Previous experience in shipping & receiving, inventory control, or warehouse administration preferred
• Data entry and computer proficiency
• Bookkeeping or accounting experience highly preferred
• Forklift experience required
• Ability to load and unload materials safely
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills
• Dependable and detail-oriented
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
