Quality Technician

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00/HR

Duties:

• Operate Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to inspect and verify part dimensions and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Perform dimensional inspections using engineering drawings, blueprints, CAD models, and customer requirements.
• Create and maintain inspection reports, quality records, and documentation accurately and thoroughly.
• Follow inspection plans and quality procedures to verify product compliance.
• Interpret and apply GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards during inspections.
• Utilize precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions, tolerances, and product quality.
• Assist with CMM programming, setup, and inspection template creation when applicable.
• Maintain calibration records and ensure CMM equipment and inspection tools are functioning properly.
• Collaborate with production personnel, lead operators, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality concerns.
• Identify non-conforming products and support root cause investigations and corrective actions.

Qualifications:

• Previous quality inspection or manufacturing experience preferred.
• CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Experience creating inspection templates and quality documentation is a plus.
• Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) preferred.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, indicators, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to identify quality issues and communicate findings effectively.
• Strong computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic required.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
