JOB OVERVIEW

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Production Worker Lead!

Under the general direction of the Production Supervisor, the Production Lead is responsible for leading the production shift to ensure all production activities, including assembly work and machine and equipment operation and monitoring, are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively.

The Production Lead will serve as the right-hand to the Production Supervisor and provide coverage in production areas as needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

✅ Production Leadership: Drive productivity, quality, and production schedule attainment throughout the shift.

✅ Scheduling & Coordination: Coordinate daily production schedules and employee rotations while ensuring training needs are met.

✅ Equipment Monitoring: Monitor machinery and equipment for malfunctions, safely start and stop equipment, and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures when required.

✅ Hands-On Production: Perform production duties and provide coverage during breaks, absences, and employee time off.

✅ Employee Training: Lead new employee training, cross-training, upskilling, and retraining as needed.

✅ Housekeeping & Safety: Lead daily housekeeping activities and maintain clean, organized, and safe production areas.

✅ Team Leadership: Apply Servant Leadership principles to coach and mentor employees, promote positive employee relations, reinforce company policies, and maintain a strong safety culture.

✅ Supervisor Support: Serve as backup to the Production Supervisor when needed.

✅ Additional Duties: Perform other responsibilities as assigned.
