Production Operator - 1st Shift

Production Operator

Pay: $18.00+/hr.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, day shift

Job Description: We are currently looking for a qualified Production Operators for a company located in Beaufort, SC.

Responsibilities:

• • SAFETY FIRST for all
• Comply with all Job Safety Practices
• Review and follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for processes including but not limited to: o Read and follow the Work Order instructions carefully and accurately
• Pulling Materials - typically lifting 50 lb bags of mix 12 times per day o Combine the ingredients listed on the Work Order as directed o Ensure the product is blended appropriately and in accord to quality standards o Report any missing materials, imperfections or unusual conditions to the supervisor or lead person, or other designated appropriate person o ALWAYS ask questions when in doubt about anything related to the Work Order
• Report on production results
• Actively work to correct any unsafe conditions
• Interact - with a positive attitude - daily with other team members, and representatives of other departments

Qualifications:

• Post high school education a plus
• 1-year minimum experience in manufacturing plant preferred
• Forklift Driving experience (Stand-up or Sit-down)
• Solid verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledgeable in reading and following directions
• Knowledgeable in basic mathematics
• Ability to work well with others in a team environment and on problem solving activities
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. of material a few times during your shift
• Standing for long periods of time is required
• Performing well on a Light Industrial Assessment Test
• Pass background check and drug screen
