Job Description
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and mechanically inclined Operator Assistant to join our team in Franklin, OH. In this role, you will support machine operations, perform quality checks using manual precision measurements, and help meet production goals. Key Responsibilities
- Assist machine operators with daily production tasks and setup.
- Perform manual precision measurements using traditional (non-digital) micrometers and calipers.
- Accurately read a tape measure to ensure all parts meet specific tolerances.
- Apply basic mathematics daily for precise calculations and part verifications.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to keep the production line running smoothly.
- Maintain safety standards while handling materials and operating equipment.
- Experience in metal manufacturing is preferred but not required.
Requirements
- Experience: Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on capability.
- Technical Skills: Must know how to read standard/manual micrometers and calipers (no digital displays) and a standard tape measure.
- Math Skills: Proficiency in basic math (addition, subtraction, fractions, decimals).
- Physical Demand: Ability to comfortably lift up to 50lbs throughout the shift.
- Gear: Must own and wear steel-toed boots on the production floor.
- Traits: Dependable team player with a strong work ethic.
