Pay: $20/Hr. Hours: Monday–Friday, Guaranteed 40 Hours/Week Location: Shreveport, LA 71109 Schedule: Some weekend work may occasionally be required

Job Description

A local company in Shreveport is seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder to join its team. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40-hour workweek and occasional weekend work based on production needs.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on MIG and TIG welding experience, be comfortable working in a fabrication/industrial environment, and be able to consistently produce clean, quality welds.

Job Duties

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on various metal components

• Fabricate, fit, and assemble metal parts and materials

• Read and follow blueprints, drawings, measurements, and work instructions

• Measure, cut, grind, and prepare materials for welding

• Inspect completed welds for quality and accuracy

• Use grinders, saws, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment

• Maintain welding equipment and keep the work area clean and organized

• Follow established safety procedures and proper PPE requirements

• Assist with other fabrication and shop duties as needed

Qualifications

• Previous MIG and TIG welding experience required

• Strong understanding of welding and fabrication techniques

• Ability to read a tape measure and work from measurements

• Blueprint reading experience preferred

• Comfortable using grinders, hand tools, and fabrication equipment

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Dependable attendance and reliable transportation

• Willingness to work occasional weekends when needed
