McHenry - Mechanic, Assembly - D Shift

Job Title: Mechanic, Assembly City and State: McHenry, IL Pay Rate: $22.00+/hour + Shift Diff, Based on Experience Schedule/Shift: D Shift, Wednesday-Friday + Alternate Saturdays, 6:45 PM - 7:00 AM Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Summary:

We are seeking a Mechanic, Assembly to support production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for machine operation, equipment maintenance, troubleshooting support, and ensuring products meet quality and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and inspect machines while assisting with minor troubleshooting under the direction of the Assembly Mechanic II.
• Support parts and tooling changeovers, open work orders, and issue parts as needed.
• Clean, inspect, lubricate, and rebuild machine/mechanical components while performing restorative maintenance.
• Assist with preventative maintenance and ensure product safety and quality standards are maintained.
• Print and interpret production schedules, complete production logs, and support team leads as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous manufacturing, assembly, machine maintenance, or mechanical experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, work orders, and production documentation.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality standards, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and perform physical duties in a manufacturing environment.
