Material Handler 2nd Shift

Our client in West Branch, IA is looking for a 2nd Shift Material Handler!

Position Summary: Our client is seeking a dependable Material Handler to support warehouse operations during the busy season. This position involves loading and unloading tires and automotive parts, stocking inventory, operating industrial equipment, and using scanners to locate and store products. This is a physically demanding position requiring consistent heavy lifting and extended periods of standing and moving. Candidates must be comfortable performing manual labor in addition to operating equipment. The facility is not heated or air conditioned, and there is an opportunity for temporary employees to transition to permanent positions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load, unload, and stock tires and automotive parts
• Operate industrial equipment, including forklifts and picker equipment, to move and store inventory
• Use scanners to locate products, put away inventory, and assist with inventory control
• Lift 50 pounds consistently throughout the shift and occasionally lift up to 80 pounds
• Perform team lifts or use mechanical equipment when handling commercial tires
• Push barrels and industrial or agricultural tires with up to 40 pounds of force
• Safely operate equipment at heights of up to 25 feet while working with elevated stock racks
• Remain on your feet and actively moving throughout the workday
• Assist other departments, including ecommerce, inventory, and will call, as business needs require
• Follow all safety policies and operating procedures
• Complete additional warehouse duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, material handling, forklift, or equipment operating experience is preferred
• Ability to consistently lift 50 pounds
• Ability to safely perform team lifts and use mechanical equipment when necessary
• Comfort working at heights of up to 25 feet while operating equipment
• Ability to perform physically demanding labor throughout the shift
• Willingness to work overtime as needed
• Ability to work in a facility without heating or air conditioning
• Strong attention to safety and ability to follow operating procedures
• Reliable attendance and dependable work habits
• Ability to adapt to changing warehouse demands and assist other departments as needed

Hours:

• Monday – Thursday
• 4:00 p.m. – 2:30 a.m.
• Overtime as needed

Pay:

• $21/hour
