The machine operator is responsible for setting up and operating manufacturing machinery used to produce precision abrasive wheels and components.
Primary duties include:
•
Set up and operate CNC and conventional machine tools.
•
Operate grinding, milling, cutting, shaping and profiling equipment.
•
Monitor machines during production.
•
Inspect finished products to ensure they meet specifications.
•
Read blueprints, technical instructions and machine programs.
•
Make machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
•
Meet daily production goals.
•
Follow company safety procedures.
•
Maintain clean and organized work areas.
•
Perform basic troubleshooting and equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
•
High school diploma or GED preferred.
•
Two years of machining experience or training preferred.
•
Basic computer skills.
•
Ability to read blueprints.
•
Knowledge of measuring tools and basic mathematics.
•
CNC or conventional machining experience preferred.
•
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
•
Ability to stand for extended periods.
