Machine Operator - CNC Mill

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Position: CNC Mill Machine Operator Location: Watkins Glen, NY Shift: Day Shift Pay: $18–$25/hr (based on experience)

Overview:

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a CNC Mill Machine Operator to support a local manufacturing company. This role involves operating CNC milling equipment to produce precision components according to specifications. Candidates should be detail-oriented and comfortable working with machining instructions and measurement tools.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate CNC milling machines and load materials, tools, and fixtures
• Run CNC programs and monitor machining cycles
• Adjust tool offsets, feeds, and speeds as needed
• Inspect parts using precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers
• Verify dimensional accuracy and perform in-process quality checks
• Change tools and perform basic machine maintenance
• Follow all safety procedures and report any machine issues

Qualifications:

• Understanding of CNC machining principles
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret GD&T
• Familiarity with G-code, feeds, speeds, and machining operations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and basic math skills
• Prior CNC machining experience preferred

Preferred:

• NIMS Machining Level I certification
• CNC operator certifications
• OSHA 10/30 safety training
