Location: Waterloo, IA Pay: $15.00/hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-3:00 PM Type: Full-Time Opportunity

Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking a Kit Assembler to join a local warehouse team. This position is responsible for reviewing work instructions, gathering materials, assembling product kits, verifying accuracy, and preparing completed orders for storage or shipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable following written instructions while working in a warehouse environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review paperwork to confirm build quantities and assembly revision levels before beginning production
• Review work instructions for each kit and verify all applicable revisions and assembly requirements
• Verify component materials, quantities, and revision levels prior to assembly
• Assemble kits according to established work instructions
• Have first-piece assemblies inspected by a fellow assembler for accuracy before continuing production
• Complete assembly orders accurately and in a timely manner
• Apply required labels in the proper locations
• Submit completed paperwork to supervisors upon order completion
• Move completed materials to designated locations
• Put away finished products using scanning equipment and designated storage locations
• Perform general housekeeping of warehouse areas and equipment
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and work orders
• Basic written communication skills
• Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and team members
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to follow written work instructions and assembly procedures
• Dependable with strong attendance and reliability
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Previous assembly or warehouse experience is preferred but not required

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and move throughout the shift
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Frequent bending, kneeling, twisting, and stooping
• Ability to use hands for repetitive assembly tasks
• Comfortable working in a warehouse environment throughout the workday
