Job Description

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable Hopper Sorter for an industrial facility in Huntington, Indiana. This position involves sorting and processing scrap metal and recyclable materials in a fast-paced industrial environment. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, hardworking, and comfortable performing physically demanding work.

Responsibilities

• Sort scrap metal and recyclable materials according to established guidelines.

• Inspect materials and identify items that need to be separated or removed.

• Work around industrial equipment and moving materials while following all safety procedures.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and work effectively as part of a team.

• Perform physical labor, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.

• Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow all workplace safety policies.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform physical labor in an industrial environment.

• Willingness to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions, as required.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.

• Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.

• Ability to follow directions and work independently or as part of a team.

• Previous manufacturing, recycling, scrap yard, or general labor experience preferred.
