Material Handler / Machine Operator Support

Location: Westbelt, Columbus, OH Pay Rate: $21.00 per hour Shift: 2nd Shift – Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM Overtime: Required as needed

Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Material Handler to support machine operators in a manufacturing environment. This position is responsible for loading and unloading materials, performing quality checks, touching up finished parts, and maintaining an efficient workflow throughout production. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and can safely handle physically demanding tasks.

Essential Job Duties

• Load and unload materials for machine operators to keep production running efficiently.

• Move, handle, and organize materials throughout the facility.

• Perform basic quality inspections to identify defects or imperfections.

• Touch up parts as needed using hand tools such as sanders and wire wheels.

• Assist machine operators with material preparation and production needs.

• Maintain a clean and organized work area.

• Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment.

• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications & Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 80 lbs.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the shift.

• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and by reading written instructions.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify quality issues.

• Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.

• Previous manufacturing, material handling, or warehouse experience is preferred.

Schedule & Overtime

• Monday–Friday, 3:00 PM–11:00 PM.

Overtime is expected and may include:

• Up to 2 additional hours before or after the regular shift, Monday–Friday.

• Additional Saturday shifts as needed.

• Candidates must be flexible and available to work required overtime.

Required Attire & PPE

• Steel-toed boots are required. Employees must provide their own.

• Sturdy work pants such as jeans, khakis, or Dickies are required.

• Sweatpants and yoga pants are not permitted.

• Additional PPE will be provided, including hearing protection, uniform shirts, safety glasses, gloves, and other required safety equipment.
