Job Title: General Laborer City and State: Elgin, IL Pay Rate: Flexible/DOE Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift Employment Type: Temp
Summary:
We are seeking dependable General Laborers to provide driver assistance and moving support for a project in Elgin, IL. In this role, you will assist drivers with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, files, and equipment, help with the setup of metal racking, and ensure items are transported and organized safely and efficiently. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and working as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
- Install and assemble metal racking systems.
- Move, organize, and relocate boxes, files, and equipment.
- Assist with loading and unloading furniture, boxes, and equipment from trucks.
- Help disassemble and reassemble furniture or equipment as needed.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment throughout the project.
Qualifications:
- Ability to perform physical labor and lift heavy items as required.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to safety procedures and workplace guidelines.
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation.
- Previous general labor, warehouse, moving, or construction experience is a plus.
