Fence Installer / Laborer

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time Location: Helena, MT Area

Job Summary

A growing fencing contractor is seeking dependable and hardworking Fence Installers to join our team. This position assists with the installation, repair, and maintenance of residential and commercial fencing projects. Ideal candidates enjoy working outdoors, can perform physically demanding work, and have a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Install a variety of fence types, including wood, vinyl, chain-link, and ornamental fencing
• Dig post holes using hand tools and power equipment
• Set posts, pour concrete, and assemble fence sections
• Load, unload, and transport materials and equipment to job sites
• Measure and lay out fence lines according to project specifications
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and small equipment safely
• Perform fence repairs and maintenance as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized job site
• Follow all safety procedures and company standards
• Communicate effectively with crew members and supervisors

Qualifications

• Previous construction, fencing, landscaping, or outdoor labor experience preferred, but not required
• Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds frequently
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening if required

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting, bending, kneeling, and standing
• Ability to work on uneven terrain
• Ability to use hand and power tools for extended periods
