Facility Maintenance

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Facility Maintenance / Make-Ready Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for general upkeep, repairs, and preparation of the facilities to ensure a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for guests, staff, and animals. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general maintenance and repair duties across grounds and facilities.

• Prepare and set up areas for exhibits, events, and daily operations.

• Assist with lawn care, landscaping, and groundskeeping tasks.

• Move, load, and unload supplies, and equipment

• Support staff with facility readiness, including cleaning, painting, and minor carpentry or plumbing tasks.

• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and standards.

• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or make-ready experience preferred.

• Ability to lift, move, and carry heavy items (up to [weight requirement, e.g., 50 lbs]).

• Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

• Basic knowledge of tools, equipment, and general repair practices.

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
