Construction Worker Job Responsibilities

Construction Workers will assist with a variety of tasks on a commercial construction and renovation project, including:

• Assist with commercial construction, remodeling, and renovation projects
• Perform general construction and carpentry tasks as assigned
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install construction materials
• Safely operate hand tools and power tools
• Assist skilled tradespeople, carpenters, and other construction workers
• Load, unload, move, and organize construction materials
• Prepare work areas and materials for construction projects
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
• Follow all construction site safety rules and procedures
• Work effectively with other members of the construction crew
• Perform physically demanding tasks as needed throughout the workday

Construction Worker Requirements

Qualified candidates should have:

• Previous construction experience required
• Carpentry experience preferred
• Experience using hand and power tools
• Valid driver's license required
• Reliable transportation to the New Martinsville, WV job site
• Ability to safely perform physically demanding construction work
• Ability to lift, carry, bend, stoop, stand, walk, and work for extended periods
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Ability to work as part of a construction team
