Job Description

• Assist with daily cafeteria operations, including food preparation, serving, dishwashing, and general kitchen support.
• Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, menus, and established food safety standards.
• Serve meals and assist with portion control to ensure accurate and consistent food service.
• Wash, rinse, and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and follow all food safety, sanitation, and safe food-handling procedures.
• Keep kitchen areas, serving stations, dining areas, and dishwashing stations clean and organized.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food products to maintain freshness and prevent waste.
• Assist with receiving, stocking, and organizing food and kitchen supplies.
• Follow instructions from supervisors and assist with additional cafeteria duties as needed.

Primary Job Duties

• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation throughout food preparation, serving, and dishwashing areas.
• Restock food stations, serving supplies, and kitchen inventory as needed.
• Follow proper procedures for food storage, labeling, and handling.
• Dispose of waste properly and maintain a safe, organized work environment.
• Communicate supply shortages, equipment issues, or other concerns to the supervisor.
• Work efficiently as part of a team to support daily cafeteria operations.
