Bricklayer – Temporary – $30/hr

Location: Oregon City Pay: $30.00/hour Position Type: Temporary – Approximately 1 Week Start Date: October 26, 2026 Shift: Day Shift

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced and dependable Bricklayer for a short-term masonry project beginning October 26, 2026. This temporary assignment is expected to last approximately one week and is ideal for someone with previous bricklaying or masonry experience who can work independently and produce quality results.

Job Description

The Bricklayer will be responsible for laying brick, block, and stone according to project specifications. Duties include preparing and applying mortar, measuring and cutting materials, and ensuring completed surfaces are level, straight, and properly finished. The ideal candidate has hands-on masonry experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to complete assigned work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Lay brick, block, and stone according to project specifications

• Mix, prepare, and apply mortar as needed

• Measure, cut, and fit masonry materials accurately

• Ensure walls and surfaces are level, straight, and properly finished

• Complete assigned tasks independently and within project deadlines

• Operate masonry tools and equipment safely

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

• Follow project instructions and all workplace safety guidelines

• Maintain high standards of workmanship and efficiency

Experience & Qualifications

• Previous bricklaying or masonry experience preferred

• Knowledge of masonry tools, materials, and installation techniques

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong attention to detail and time management skills

• Ability to accurately measure, cut, and position materials

• Ability to lift and handle masonry materials throughout the shift

• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious

• Ability to complete a short-term assignment beginning October 26, 2026

Work Schedule

Assignment Duration: Approximately 1 Week Anticipated Start Date: Monday, October 26, 2026

Monday: Start date to be confirmed Tuesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Wednesday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Thursday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM Saturday: Off Sunday: Off
